   i remember bill allison very well ,my father took me to the pit shaft one sat. morning when they climbed on top of the cage to inspect the shaft all the way down . the other shaftman was john johnson,s dad,these were very brave men .mr allison was crippled but could jump about the shaft,like a agile chimp. two great men their knowledge was mind blowing. bill atkinson jnr
